Ilkley Manor House is proud to host the launch of So Let It Be: Collected Poems by Colin Speakman, a celebrated Yorkshire writer, campaigner and author whose work has been deeply connected to the landscapes, history and people of the region for decades.

Best known for his many books on Yorkshire’s countryside, walking, heritage and culture, Colin Speakman has also written poetry throughout his life. So Let It Be brings together poems spanning more than sixty years, tracing the development of a distinctive poetic voice rooted in Yorkshire’s landscapes, stories and communities.

Join us for an evening celebrating poetry, Yorkshire identity and literary heritage in the historic surroundings of Ilkley Manor House.
