Due to regeneration work happening in Bradford, there are roadworks affecting many major routes into the city. If travelling by car, please allow enough time for your journey. Reminder: upcoming bus and road changes in 2024 : From 14th April 2024, new bus routes will come into effect and buses will no longer travel through the city centre. Instead, they will be routed around the core of the city centre along dedicated bus routes to improve reliability and journey times. Bradford is served by two central train stations; Bradford Interchange and Bradford Forster Square which connect with intercity services to London, Manchester and further afield.

The M606, brings you within 1.5 miles of the city centre and links with the M1, A1 and M6 via the M62. Once in the city all main destinations are easily accessible.
If you are travelling from the south, east or west of Bradford, the most convenient route is M62 and the M606.
If you are arriving from the north-west the A629/A650 via Skipton and Keighley. From the north-east the A1 or A19, reach Bradford via the A59/A658 south of Harrogate.
Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) is seven miles from Bradford and is one of the fastest growing regional airports in the UK.

The Bradford Clean Air Zone has been live since September 2022 and is operating to improve air quality in the district by deterring the most polluting vehicles from entering the zone. Air pollution levels in Bradford have been found to be too high with damaging impacts on the health of residents.
