Children taking part in a Pop Academy Recycled Remix Lab workshop.

About

Unleash your inner pop star over the summer holidays with creative activities for all ages.

What's on: Pop Academy: Recycled Remix Lab

  • Daily | Sunday & Mondays 10.00–11.40 and 13.00–16.00 | Tuesday- Saturday 10.00–16.00 - £2 per child, under-5s and adults free

  • Tickets available—book now

Become a sustainable superstar this summer. MakeSpace will be transformed into a experimental sound lab for this hands-on family activity. Learn how to turn old electronics into amazing sounds, exploring vibrations, acoustics, and simple circuits to create your own unique beats.

The space will be filled with robotic rhythms and electronic tunes, with the opportunity to record your creations with a loop pedal like a true pop producer.

Although parts of the activity will use over-ear headphones, the space may be loud. Ear defenders will be available, and if you are sensitive to sound we recommend visiting at the beginning or end of day when the museum is quieter.

Suitable for children aged 5+

Pop academy: Dress up and photo op
