Duos come and go, but Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman have spent three decades shaping a partnership that’s both original and captivating. From their early days in 90s folk supergroup Equation to becoming one of the most respected duos in the folk scene, they continue to deliver their distinctive blend of traditional and contemporary acoustic music. In 2025 they marked 30 years together with their first live concert album, Another Day At The Circus, capturing the intimacy and craft of their performances. They’ve twice been voted Best Duo at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, and have also earned Best Duo honours from Spiral Earth and Fatea Magazine.
