Loading Bay is an arts venue in Bradford City Centre, run by Bradford Culture Company. It hosts a mix of theatre, music, comedy, exhibitions and immersive experiences.

The space is designed to be flexible, supporting performances, installations, rehearsals and collaborative creative projects. It plays an active role in the city’s cultural scene, offering a welcoming place to explore new ideas and artistic work.

  • Accessible Venue - Loading Bay aims to be an accessible and inclusive space with step free access, wheelchair and carer spaces on the ground floor theatre and a lift to the gallery and basement floors. Mobility scooters can be parked in the yard – please ask a member of the front of house team who will advise on a suitable location. Audio Description, BSL (British Sign Language, and Captioning - We aim to make our events as accessible and inclusive as possible. Please check the event page for details of which events will have Audio Description, BSL and/or captioning.

Catering

  • On-site light refreshments - Food and drink are permitted in the Yard. The Loading Bay will have a selection of drinks and snacks available for purchase at selected events. We do accept cash, although please note that payment via card is preferable where possible.

Children

  • Baby changing facilities - Loading Bay has baby changing facilities and we welcome breastfeeding mums.
  • Children welcome - We do not advise that children under 14 years attend our venue without a responsible adult.  We accept no responsibility for any unaccompanied children and reserve the right to refuse entry if the performance is not appropriate for the child. Any trigger/sensitive content will be listed on the event page.
