Bradford’s ghostly past awakens with ‘Whispers in the Wool City’

Bradford city centre’s fascinating history will come to life this October as Bradford BID presents Whispers in the Wool City, a spine-tingling walking experience combining ghost stories, local heritage and atmospheric animation.

Taking place on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th October, the free event will guide visitors through six mysterious city-centre locations, uncovering the hidden stories, eerie legends and intriguing history woven into Bradford’s streets.

Two family-friendly tours will take place each day at 2pm and 4pm, offering younger visitors and their families a spooky adventure through the city. Those seeking a more chilling experience can join the 6pm tour, recommended for ages 15 and over.

With Bradford’s historic architecture providing a dramatic backdrop, Whispers in the Wool City offers residents and visitors an unusual way to explore the city centre and see familiar places in a whole new light.

We’re inviting people to gather their friends and family, wrap up warm or in their favourite fancy dress, and join us for an unforgettable journey through the city’s more mysterious side.”

They’ll also be a chance for people to win a Bradford City Centre Gift Card for best dressed for each of the six tours.
