Support Acts Announced For Darley Street Market's Live At The Courtyard!

This month Pulled Apart By Horses, Lucy Spraggan and The Hoosiers will be performing in the outdoor Courtyard of Bradford city centre’s Darley Street Market as part of a new live music festival Live at the Courtyard. We’re excited to announce the artists who will be supporting them.

On Friday 14th August, Meryl Streek will be supporting Leeds-Bradford band Pulled Apart by Horses. Fast rising and exciting punk producer Meryl Streek has released his brand-new album Songs for the Deceased, cited by Metal Hammer as one of the ten best punk albums of the last decade. The new album, produced by Dan Doherty (Fontaines D.C.) is out now on Venn Records (a label that has picked up talent early and released the likes of Bob Vylan, Wargasm and High Vis). Meryl Streek has shared tours with Kneecap, Public Image Limited, Dead Kennedys, Bob Vylan, Enter Shikari to mention a few. A unique and exciting live show not to be missed.

Born and raised in Dublin, avant-garde punk producer Meryl Streek remembers his childhood in Ireland fondly.
“Growing up it was great,” he says. “I had a lot of family around me and things were good, we were a working class family of independent screen printers.”

With his father a talented drummer in his own right, and the call of punk rock’s ethics and morals so strong, it was perhaps an inevitability that Streek would eventually fall into that same world.

“My dad was an unbelievable drummer,” he enthuses, “Like unbelievable. I was raised being around punk bands like Crass and anarcho-punks Rudimentary Peni. I remember seeing him play growing up as a kid and that was the start of my growth as a musician.”

On Saturday 15th August, singer songwriter Lucy Spraggan will be supported by Lucy Robinson, a musician who has played to great acclaim at the regular live music slots at Darley Street Market. Lucy will be joined on stage by her band.

Lucy Robinson is an alt-acoustic-pop act from Northern Ireland, quickly establishing herself as one of the UK's most exciting independent artists, earning praise for her unique blend of dreamy pop, soulful vocals, gritty rock influences, and quick-witted, emotionally honest songwriting. Lucy's latest track has been recognized by Billboard Artists, Babystep Magazine and was selected as BBC Introducing Leeds & Sheffield's Track of the Week. For fans of: Djo, HAIM, Jack Johnson, KT Tunstall, Sticky Fingers, Fleetwood Mac, Billie Eilish.

Her growing list of achievements includes winning the Ed Sheeran and Lowden Guitars ‘Take the Stage’ competition, which led to a performance for Prince William at the Dubai Expo. In 2024 she won Beat-Herder's Got Talent, securing a coveted Main Stage slot at Beat-Herder Festival before returning in 2025 to perform to a packed-out tent.

On Sunday 16th August The Hoosiers will be supported by Marie Franc.
Marie Franc are a dark-pop five-piece crafting songs that feel at once raw and romantic, pairing visceral lyricism with a nostalgic, ethereal haze. After cutting their teeth on Manchester’s indie circuit with their debut EP Birthday, the band came of age on their brooding 2025 follow-up EP Saturday Boy. Its sultry lead single Loungewear earned support from BBC Introducing, while the hazy, melancholic Leave the Light On further marked them out as ones to watch. Several singles have followed in 2026, including fan favourite Fabric and the evocative, witchy anthem Pendle Hill.

Each support act will perform for 30 minutes and each headline act an hour. Doors on Friday 14th August and Saturday 15th August open at 7pm and on Sunday 16th August doors will be open at 1.30pm. Music will start approximately 45-minutes after doors open.

These events are only for 12+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
