This October, East Riddlesden Hall, the stunning 17th-century manor house on the edge of Keighley, lovingly cared for by the National Trust, is getting into the Halloween spirit with a spellbinding line-up of events for all ages.

Back by popular demand, the much-loved Pumpkin Trail returns for October half-term! Families are invited to explore the enchanting gardens, hunt for hidden pumpkins, collect the letters, and crack the secret Halloween word. It’s the perfect autumn adventure for little ghouls and goblins.

The pumpkin trail is one of our favourite events here,” says Hester Pode, Welcome Manager at East Riddlesden Hall. “Every year, children love searching for the pumpkins and sharing the secret word with us, it brings so much joy to the team.”

The trail runs from 25 October to 2 November, and due to overwhelming demand, the site will also be open on Friday 31 October for even more spooky fun.

For grown-up ghosts and ghouls, the Sinister Silent Disco returns to the atmospheric Airedale Barn on Halloween night. With three channels of music to choose from, you can dance the night away in eerie style. Tickets are just £10 per person, and after last year’s sell-out success, early booking is highly recommended.

And for those curious about the darker side of folklore, join local historian and author John Billingsley on 4 November for a fascinating talk exploring the ancient fears and magical traditions that have shaped communities for centuries. Tickets are £5 per person and can be booked via the National Trust website.
