This summer, from 24 July to 4 September, East Riddlesden Hall in Keighley invites families to join the National Trust’s Summer of Play, offering endless fun for everyone. To kick-start their summer programme, the National Trust property is having a free day on the 23 July.
Welcome Manager, Hester Pode, said, “We’ve been working hard to make this our best summer yet. The theme for this summer is play through the ages, with historic games to try, an archaeology trail to follow with a sandbox dig site and a hands-on living history experience on 12 August”
Hester continues “To start our summer with a bang, we are holding our annual free entry day on Wednesday 23 July. This year we will have more for people to enjoy, with inflatable courses from Play in the Park, dance lessons with Bingley Dance Studio, outdoor fun with Get Out More and henna hand art on offer.”
All summer activities are included in the standard admission price. Plus, visitors who travel by bus between 26 July and 31 August can enjoy 50% off admission - making a family ticket, two adults and up to three children, just £5.25. To claim the discount, simply show a valid bus ticket, travel pass, or Transdev Treat voucher at the admissions desk.
The hall, gardens, tearoom, and shop will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday to Wednesday, with the last entry at 3:30 pm. The lower fields are open at no charge, and the car park closes at 4:30 pm daily.
Every visit to East Riddlesden Hall supports the preservation of this special place, from caring for our collections and nurturing the gardens to creating a new wet woodland area in the lower fields.
