Cullingworth

  • The Great Northern trail: The walk from Cullingworth to Hewenden Viaduct, accessible from the 502 bus, is about 0.8 miles (1.3 kilometers) and takes around 15-20 minutes. It offers beautiful views of the viaduct and countryside.

Denholme

  • Doe Park Water Activities Centre: Get ready for an adventure at Doe Park! Whether you're sailing, canoeing, or paddleboarding, there's something for everyone.   • Calderdale Industrial Museum: Learn about Halifax's industrial heritage and innovations. Open every Saturday from 10:00 to 16:00 (last entry at 15:00) and most Thursdays during Calderdale school holidays. Entry Fee: £7.50 per adult, £6 for concessions, free for accompanied children.
  • Halifax Borough Market: Experience the bustling market scene, where you can find fresh produce, unique crafts, and local delicacies. It's a great place to soak up the local culture. Entry Fee: Free.
  • Dean Clough Mills: Eat, drink, work, shop, experience a vibrant 22-acre mixed-use mill complex, stretching half a mile in length, on the edge of Halifax town centre. Once the home of Crossley Carpets, the world’s largest carpet manufacturer, it’s now a thriving community which combines arts and culture, leisure facilities, restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, and galleries.
