The immersive Van Gogh Alive experience has extended its run at Regency Hall in Bradford until Sunday, 29th January. Book your tickets now using discount code JAN25 to visit this incredible exhibition and see some of most famous art in the world in a whole new way.
Explore NT East Riddlesden Hall on a guided tour of the hall. Each weekend until Sunday, 5th February you can book a free 30-minute tour of with a friendly, and knowledgeable volunteer who will show you around and make sure you don’t miss any of the building’s fantastic features.
Tune into the TV time machine at the National Science and Media Museum on Thursday, 19th January with TV Comes North: Bradford. See some of the districts most iconic, comedic and whimsical TV moments from over the years projected onto the big screen.
See the wonderful works of local artist Lindsay Tempest at the Bradford Industrial Museum from 31st January-29th May. The illustrations explore feelings about the world around you and deals with the impact of mental health issues.
Visit the Enchanted Forest installation which can be viewed through the windows of the Ilkley Manor House and will be lit every day from 4pm - 10pm until mid-February. Uncover a variety of whimsical scenes and sculptures and perhaps even encounter Rombald the giant who is wintering there.
Discover the interactive installation ‘From Stone’ at the South Square Centre in Thornton until Sunday, 26th February. Resident artists ‘These Men’ take a close look at the theme of stone and explore it using art, music and hands-on experiences.
Shop for some unique items at the Saltaire Vintage Home and Fashion Fair which returning to Victoria Hall on Saturday, 28th January. Over 40 stalls selling everything from vintage clothing to vinyl records await you and you’re bound to find a few must-have items!
Join the ancient celebration of trees at the Bowling Wassail on Sunday, 29th January. Follow the procession from the Bowling Park allotments to the Jupiter apple tree in the community orchard for a warm drink while singing songs to bless the trees and awaken their spirits from the winter slumber.
District theatres are launching the first season of the year in a big way, with Jack and the Beanstalk proving a hit at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, which will also host TV spin-off Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby. Musical, Vampires Rock will bring the Creatures of the Night to St George’s Hall, while The Lady In The Van parks at the Keighley Playhouse. Guys And Dolls meet at the Ilkley Playhouse and there are laughs aplenty at the Great Victoria Hotel’s comedy evening in Bradford.
Music fans will be delighted with classic hits of the ‘80’s Music Party Night’ at the Midland Hotel in Bradford and the tribute band Ultimate Madnezz at Tapestry Arts in Tong. Attaullah Esakhelvi brings his tour back to St George’s Hall for another great performance. Yorkshire songstress Becky Mills will charm audiences at the Topic Folk Club in Shipley and The Lonesome Ace Stringband takes American country and folk music to The Live Room in Saltaire.
