A unique festival of all things gaming, celebrating games culture, design and production with special industry guests—returning to the museum in February 2023.
LET'S PLAY! FAMILY WEEKEND
DATE: 4–5 February 2023
The opening weekend of the Yorkshire Games Festival plays host to a museum takeover of exciting gameplay and activities for the whole family. Experience games on our biggest screens, play the latest board games and analogue experiences with friends and beta-test new projects from Northern developers—all under one roof.
We are still hard at work confirming exciting things, so look out for our full Let’s Play announcement in January.
You can expect to experience the following and more across the weekend:
NORTHERN GAMES SHOWCASE
The Northern Games Showcase is a platform for local developers to present their new games to a family-friendly audience, beta-test and receive valuable feedback.
Past showcases have been invaluable for developers, who have told us how instrumental the event was in advancing their work.
EXPLORING ANALOGUE
Swap pixels for pencils and indulge in the wonderful world of analogue gaming. With a small mountain of tabletop experiences, our Kodak Gallery will be turned into a tabletop gamer’s heaven.
