Ilkley proudly co-hosts this year’s official Yorkshire Day civic celebration alongside Bradford, marking three days of live music, food, drink, family fun, poetry, drama, and more.
Event Highlights:
Friday 1st August
- 10:00–11:00 – Yorkshire Day procession starting at The Grove
- 12:00 – Proclamation by the Town Crier followed by a public singalong to “Ilkla Moor Baht’at”
- 14:00–16:00 – Ilkley Manor House family fun activities – Free Entry
- 14:00 onwards – 160th Anniversary of Ilkley Railway exhibition at Ilkley Manor House – Free Entry
Saturday 2nd August
The Grove in Ilkley will be closed to traffic for a full day of free entertainment, featuring live drama, dance, poetry, and music performed by talented local artists. The programme will include a lively headline set from a popular Yorkshire band, while Your Ilkley Radio broadcasts live from the event. Visitors can bring their own picnics or enjoy a selection of street food, with tables and chairs available to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Entry is free.

FREE Entry
- 10:00–15:00: – Real Food Ilkley market on the Grove
- 11:00–16:00: – Visit Ilkley Manor House to enjoy the exhibitions, solar art gallery and children’s activities
- 11:00–16:00: – Organised by the Ilkley Cycling Club, there will be a fun kids cycling/scooting skills circuit at Ilkley Riverside Park with British Cycling qualified coach Harry Wood
