Yorkshire Day celebrations that will take place in Ilkley from Friday 1st August until Sunday 3rd August.
This year, the town has the honour of co-hosting the official Yorkshire Day civic celebration, the centrepiece of Yorkshire Day, alongside Bradford, which means three fun-packed days of live music, food, drink, beer, family fun, poetry and drama.
There will also be the spectacle of 170 mayors, town criers and dignitaries, taking part in a procession in town on Friday 1st August from 10am.
On Saturday 2nd August, The Grove will be closed for traffic and there will be an eclectic programme of music, drama, dance and poetry with local artists performing all through the day and into the evening.
The Acoustic Stage will be based at the Ilkley Bandstand, and the Main Stage will be at the end of The Grove. Flying Funk will headline the Main Stage at 7pm on the 2nd August.
There will be children’s activities at Ilkley Riverside Park on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August.
On Saturday 2nd August, a Yorkshire Day Market organised by Real Markets Ilkley will focus on Yorkshire based traders and include demonstrations and activities.
On Sunday 3rd August, Yorkshire Real Markets will be offering local and speciality food produce, drinks, crafts, artwork, homeware and more, and at 11am-4pm, Ilkley Cycling Club will run a fun Kids’ Cycling/Scooting Skills Circuit Course with British Cycling Qualified Coach, Harry Wood.
