The Yardfest series is a collaboration between Mama Hoodoo’s Music and Yardfest, bringing high‑quality jazz to your Friday nights each month, curated by Yardfest Saltaire.

Cactusville are a gypsy‑jazz quartet specialising in the mellow side of the style pioneered by Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt. Their set features ballads, lesser‑known Latin tunes, and lively swing numbers perfect for dancing.

Formed from previous bands Tcha! and Appel4, and featuring members of The Yorkshire Gypsy Swing Collective, The 309s, and The Northern Star Organ Trio, Cactusville bring together Ian Tothill (violin), Rob Bromhead and Derek Magee (guitars), and Manny McKenzie (double bass).
