A picture montage of steam locomotives and trains

About

On successive Weekends in 2023, Vintage Trains will operate using a selection of our collection of historic older coaches, many of which date back to Victorian times and rarely see public use. These carriages form part of the Railway’s museum collection. They include examples from the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Trust (L&YRT) and the Vintage Carriages Trust (VCT), which have been restored to pristine condition, and in the case of the L&YRT coaches, two from use as bungalows when their railway life came to an end.
