The Dalton Mill's Tapestry.

About

Come and see the community led tapestry artwork called ‘Threads of Belonging’, created in collaboration with local residents and Keighley Creative, at Keighley Market.

The 6ft-tall banner, which reflects Dalton Mills past, present and future through the eyes of local people, will be displayed in the foyer of Keighley Market from Saturday 14 March through to Saturday 9 May. Visitors will be able to find out more about the project by reading all about it at the exhibition.

The Threads of Belonging project worked with children, young people, families, and women across the Bradford district to co-create personal and collective expressions of identity.

Made possible through the funding by Innovate UK, the project was inspired by the heritage of Dalton Mills, a former textile mill, and used textiles and creative coding to help participants translate their stories into visual forms.
