Rachael Varley is an amateur archaeologist and volunteer with the British Museum’s Portable Antiquities Scheme, which has recorded more than 1.8 million archaeological finds since its launch in 1998.

In this talk, Rachael will introduce the Scheme, share the stories behind nationally significant discoveries and explore fascinating objects found by members of the public in and around Ilkley.
