About

Shrek the Musical brings the beloved fairytale to life as Shrek, a grumpy ogre, sets out to reclaim his swamp after it’s overrun by banished fairytale creatures. Joined by the chatty Donkey, he agrees to rescue Princess Fiona for the power-hungry Lord Farquaad. Along the way, Shrek discovers friendship, love, and the joy of embracing who you truly are in this hilarious and heart-warming musical adventure.

Staged at the historic Bradford Playhouse in Little Germany, this vibrant show takes place in one of the city’s most atmospheric and character‑filled theatres. With its Art Deco charm, intimate auditorium, and rich creative heritage, the Playhouse provides the perfect backdrop for a production bursting with colour, energy, and showmanship.
