About

This free, 3.5-mile guided walk from Saltaire to Bingley Bog covers part of a glorious new Trail through Bradford District's recently designated National Nature Reserve.

Get your boots on and join us on the middle section of the Bradford Pennine Gateway Trail, guided by experienced, local walk leaders from Bingley Walkers are Welcome and Bradford CHA Rambling and Social Club.

Leaving the historic village of Saltaire, this walk connects us to two reserves: Trench Meadows, home to rare species of grasses and wildflowers, and the habitat-rich wetlands of Bingley North Bog.

Bring a packed lunch and meet outside Victoria Hall in Saltaire. The walk ends at Bingley Bog, where you’ll find nature connection activities sharing the secrets of these precious wetlands. Bingley Town Centre is half a mile away, offering many food options, the train station and bus routes.

This is a moderate walk, which we anticipate will take around 2 hours including a break. Much of it traverses flat paths, though expect uneven terrain and some ascent.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
