About
Step into the world of local legend with Rombald’s Rocks, a playful sculpture trail inspired by the folklore of Rombald the Giant. Created by artist Leonie Briggs in collaboration with Keighley Creative, this exhibition features 11 characterful sculptures that have “wandered off on their own adventure” across the landscape—and now some have arrived at Ilkley Manor House.
The sculptures were designed and carved by Briggs, then decorated by local artists and community groups, celebrating creativity and shared heritage.
Originally launched in Keighley, the trail is now part of Ilkley’s Yorkshire Day celebrations, with an official opening by MP Robbie Moore on Saturday 2 August at 11:00am.
Accessibility: The exhibition is located on the ground floor with uneven flagstones but no steps.
