Bradford Cathedral

About

Discover more about Morris & Co at Bradford Cathedral. Founded by Victorian artist William Morris, the company—alongside figures such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones and Ford Madox Brown—produced stunning stained glass, with early examples displayed in four locations within the Cathedral. The collection also features a figure recently identified as the work of William De Morgan.

The tour includes an appreciation of the magnificent West Window, a Pre-Raphaelite masterpiece by Heaton, Butler and Bayne. Light refreshments will be served after the tours.

Accessibility Information
Unfortunately, due to the fact that some of the Morris & Co.stained glass is located in a chapel that can only be reached by steps, in a narrow part of the building where we cannot place a ramp, this tour is unsuitable for wheelchair users. Bradford Cathedral was largely built in the 15th century, on a steep hillside, and has Victorian and 20th century additions that include a number of sets of steps and narrow spaces. We apologise that this tour isn't accessible for wheelchair users and we are working to make this challenging building more accessible.
