May at Bracken Hall is filled with nature‑themed activities linked to our Minibeasts focus. Families can explore the Glen, get creative, and enjoy special events throughout the month. Every Saturday and Sunday, 12:00–16:00, our Drop‑In Weekends offer themed crafts, a wildlife garden trail, and access to the exhibition room on the history and natural heritage of Shipley Glen and Baildon Moor.

Hedgehog Awareness Week Activities: Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th May 12:00-16:00 | Join us for hedgehog themed arts and crafts and learn fascinating facts about hedgehogs.

Minibeasts in Watercolour: Saturday 16th May 13:00-15:30 | Join artist Emma Bairstow to paint minibeasts in watercolour. Drop-in session.
 
The Wonderful World of Honey Bees: Saturday 17th May 12:00-16:00 | A drop-in session where you can find out all about the bees at Bracken Hall from bee keeper, Louise Mallinson.

Victorians Day: Sunday 24th May 12:00-16:00 | Take a ride on the Shipley Glen Tramway to celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday and visit us to find out how the Victorians spent their leisure time on Shipley Glen.
 
Wild Wednesday: Wednesday 27th May 14:00-16:00 | Join the Friends of Bracken Hall for drop-in free nature themed crafts and activities in the school holidays.
