About

Discover the many sides of celebrated Bingley artist Jane Fielder at this special exhibition at The Bingley Gallery. Showcasing a diverse collection of work, the exhibition explores an artistic career inspired by the landscapes, people and places of Yorkshire, alongside more personal and experimental pieces.

Best known for her distinctive and colourful "Janescapes", which capture the character of Bingley and the surrounding area, Jane’s work also includes expressive floral studies, life drawings and striking abstract dot paintings. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the breadth of her artistic practice and the many influences that have shaped her work over the years.

A founder of The Bingley Gallery, Jane continues to maintain a permanent collection of her work there. This exhibition, however, focuses on the wider scope of her creativity, highlighting the different themes, techniques and experiences that have informed her career. From local landscapes and flowers to deeply personal works created in response to life’s challenges, the exhibition offers a fascinating insight into one of the district’s most recognisable artists.

Visitors are also invited to attend a preview evening on Wednesday 14 October from 19:00 to 21:00
