Step into a world of musical storytelling as the Ilkley Philharmonic Orchestra presents Folklore & Fairytales, an afternoon of orchestral favourites inspired by classic tales and magical worlds. Conducted by John Anderson, with Sally Robinson as leader, the programme brings together much‑loved works full of colour, character and imagination.

The concert features Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel Overture, Vaughan Williams’ expressive Oboe Concerto performed by soloist Leila Kizer, Grieg’s iconic Peer Gynt Suite No.1, Ravel’s enchanting Mother Goose Suite, and Tchaikovsky’s sweeping Sleeping Beauty Suite.
