About

HONK! Bradford will bring 15 street bands from the UK, Spain, Germany, France, and the US to play across the district—in community centres, parks, high streets, and the city centre. With over 300 musicians performing with a passion that’s as infectious as it is inspiring, expect an eclectic mix of bhangra, Balkan, jazz, hip hop, and more.

What’s Happening on Saturday

  • 11:00 – 13:00: Sound of the Streets Street bands will perform across the district in public spaces like parks and high streets. Just step outside and follow the music!

  • 14:00 – 16:00: Bring it to the City Busking-style performances will pop up throughout the city centre, creating a lively, spontaneous atmosphere.

  • 16:30 – 18:30: The Big HONK! Head to City Park for a grand musical showdown featuring international bands. The event will close with a mass performance of the HONK! anthem led by the HONK! Band, the Peace Artistes, and Punjabi Roots.

As part of the HONK! street music festival running from 26–28 September 2025, Saturday is the centrepiece—a full day of free, live performances across Bradford that everyone can enjoy.

Organised by Bradford’s very own street band, The Peace Artistes, HONK! celebrates cultural diversity with school and community involvement, and introduces a brand new pick-up band for local musicians. It’s part of a global movement that unites communities through music and activism.
