Leather Belt 11:00 – 13:00
In the morning, a practical, hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to design and make their own bespoke leather belt. Suitable for beginners, the session introduces the fundamentals of leatherworking in a supportive and accessible environment.
Participants will choose from a range of quality leather colours and a selection of buckles to create a belt that reflects their personal style. Guided step by step through the process, learners will measure, cut, edge, punch, and assemble their belt using traditional hand tools and techniques. There will also be the option to stamp initials into the leather, adding a personalised and professional finish.
Throughout the workshop, participants will gain an understanding of leather selection, accurate strap cutting, hole placement, fitting hardware, and finishing techniques to ensure a durable and refined result.
By the end of the session, each participant will leave with a handcrafted leather belt made to their exact size — a functional and stylish piece designed to last for years.
Please note the these workshops will take place in The Heritage Craft Room, at Bradford Industrial Museum.
