Glasses Case
This practical, hands-on workshop offers participants the opportunity to design and make a bespoke leather glasses case or small purse. Suitable for beginners, the session provides a clear and supportive introduction to traditional leatherworking techniques.
Participants will choose from a selection of quality leathers in a range of colours and finishes to create a piece that reflects their individual style. Guided step by step, learners will measure, cut, punch, and assemble their chosen design, gaining experience in key skills such as hand stitching, edge finishing, and fitting simple fastenings where appropriate. There will also be the option to emboss initials into the leather, adding a personalised and professional touch.
All tools and materials are provided. By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a beautifully crafted and functional leather accessory designed for everyday use and made to age gracefully over time.
This workshop is ideal for beginners as well as those wishing to develop confidence and foundational skills in leathercraft within a small, friendly learning environment.
Please note the these workshops will take place in The Heritage Craft Room, at Bradford Industrial Museum
