Cyclists on a mountain road and the Le Cure cancer charity logo

About

Cyclists have a new challenge this year with Le Cure’s Hell of the North, starting and finishing in Ilkley - and supporting breast cancer research. Hell of the North is from the organisers of Le Cure de France which started in 2014

Riders set off from Nell Bank in Ilkley, home of the White Rose Classic, and wend their way through the beautiful, peaceful, idyllic, and absolutely brutal climbs that North Yorkshire has to offer, before returning for beers and BBQ at the end of a job well done - and there’s even a gravel track for future Curistas to spin themselves silly on while they wait.

The Hell of the North will cover 109km with 2110m of climbing, which includes Barden Moor, Fountains Abbey, Menwith Hill and the gorgeous Burnsall Fell.

In advance of the event riders will receive an Event Guide including details on parking, routes, food and drink stops, safety and much more.

Riders need to sign up by 9th August
