About

Haworth & Yorkshire Creatives Makers Market returns to the Old School Room on 24 and 25 October, bringing together 20 independent makers and artists from across Haworth and Yorkshire. Curated by Rosalia founder of Haworth & Yorkshire Creatives and Brontë-inspired brand Brontë Bitch, the market focuses on handmade, independent & small creatives.

New to the market and making their first appearance are:

Feather Fur & Bumble - Kinusaiga craft kits and finished textile artwork. Kinusaiga is a Japanese fabric art technique using pieces of fabric fitted into a design without stitching.

The Soap Baa - handmade natural soaps created on a Yorkshire family farm, using natural ingredients and inspiration from the surrounding countryside.

Returning after their first appearance:

Crafty Tykes returns with its collection of felted creatures, while Woodland Crafts brings its unusual artwork created from old books. Both makers made their debut at an earlier Haworth & Yorkshire Creatives market and return for their second appearance.

Also returning are a number of makers who have appeared previously, including:

Chisel Monkey - 3 string guitars made from retro and recycled cigar boxes

Eco Beez - recycled bird houses, bee camps and fairy doors

Ivy & Sand - vintage and recycled frames and prints

Colourscape Creations - colourful & playful polymer jewellery

Silk Purse Creations - recycled glass pieces featuring wildlife artwork

Nerfertum - organic skincare

Pawfect Felt Designs - felted and seasonal pet accessories, including new organic calming sprays made in collaboration with Nerfertum

Wooden Wonders - storytelling & iconic peg dolls

Forget Me Not - Japanese and Czech beaded jewellery and artwork

Flawed Maud - handmade silver, copper and gemstone jewellery

Jacoo - organic skincare and beauty treatments

Carolyn Edwards Art - inspired artwork inspired by Haworth as seen in The Yorkshire Post newspaper.

Withens Art by Philippa - contemporary work inspired by Top Withens and the surrounding moorland

Can Creative Crafts - shell frames and accessories made using shells collected from beaches in Spain and the UK

Stitch in Time by Karen - embroidered and hand-stitched homeware and practical crafts

Brontë Bitch, the Haworth-based brand inspired by the Brontë sisters and their surroundings. The range includes the new black and white monochrome collection of organic cotton tote bags and unisex T-shirts, alongside existing vibrant T-shirts and totes, hoodies, jewellery, tea towels and greetings cards. The new monochrome T-shirts are priced at £15, keeping the collection accessible and affordable.
