About
Onward is a heartfelt fantasy adventure set in a modern suburban world once filled with magic. The story follows teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot, who embark on a quest to spend one last day with their late father. When Ian receives a magical staff and spell that can briefly bring their father back to life, the spell goes wrong, restoring only his lower half. Determined to complete the magic before time runs out, the brothers set off in Barley’s battered van, Guinevere, to find a rare phoenix gem.
Along the way, they face enchanted obstacles, biker pixies, and a fiery dragon while learning to rely on each other’s strengths. As Ian gains confidence and Barley proves his loyalty, their journey reveals that the love and support they seek has been beside them all along. Onward blends humour, adventure, and emotional depth into a touching story about family and self-belief.
