Charity Petrykivka Painting Workshop

About

Join us for a beautiful and meaningful Charity Petrykivka Painting Workshop as part of Ukrainian Day at Darley Street Market, Bradford.

Petrykivka painting, a traditional Ukrainian folk art recognised by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Come and try this ancient art therapy of Ukrainian villagers – a joyful and relaxing way to bring colour and harmony into your life. You’ll be surprised by how easily you can create your own beautiful floral design!

This art form began in the 18th century in central Ukraine, when people started decorating their homes, furniture, and everyday items with vibrant floral patterns. Artists used natural pigments, egg tempera, and special brushes made of cat hair, feathers and reed stems.

No experience needed – all materials provided.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Participation is by donation, with all proceeds going towards supporting Ukraine.

Come along, get creative, and support a meaningful cause through art.
