An exhibition of cartoon drawings created live at gigs over the last few years at the 1in12 Club in Bradford.

All the drawings will have a QR code so you can hear the band when you check out the image, with a chance to buy a CD zine bundle from the club. You can see the art when the club is open anytime between those dates. Just check on their social media to see when they’re open. Prints of the artwork will also be available on request.

Exhibited acts: Captain South America, Captain Hotknives, Sharp Knives, Rubber Husband, Terrorpins, Class Tourists, Geväl, Sex Germs, Bruise Control, Yeah Maybe, DK vs the Kingdom, The Wind Up Birds, Daves, Goo, Nutty Skunk, Broken 3 Ways, Harijan, Pizzatramp, Karl Phillips & the Rejects, Wonk Unit, Kathryn Longbottom, Waiting for Wednesday, Kačkala and Grail Guard.

Opening night’s entertaining and gig on Friday 11th of September is put on by Cartoons from the Pit and one of the 1in12’s most fun promoters Moist Tiger. Street artist, mural and zine maker Yaya will be around that night making some artwork that people will be welcome to add to during the duration of the exhibition. There you can also buy the compilation, and be amongst the first chance to see the exhibit. Music From - Lewis Pugh, Character Actors, Blue Orchid Reaction, Rabies Babies. £8 in adv, £11 otd.

Part way through the exhibit, on Saturday 10th October, we’re putting on an afternoon of art and chat, with a chance to get involved in various forms of creative expression. Cass from Go Mug Yourself will be around to help you can make a mug or a plant pot of your favourite character. Cartoons from the Pit will be around running cartoon drawing, speed drawing and watercolour workshops. The event will run 1-4pm that day, the club will be open from 12 noon until 5pm for anyone wanting to check out the art or chat to us.

The exhibit closes on Sunday 22nd November with a final chance to see the art and some acoustic music upstairs in the library. Come around from 4pm, bring an instrument or just come yourself. All performers welcome, collaboration encouraged. Live sketching and art encouraged. You’ll have your last chance to see and add to the artwork Yaya made on the opening night. We’re likely to play until around 7pm, pack down the art for 8pm. You can see the cartoons for the last time before we take them down.
