About

Bradford International Film Festival (BRADIFF) returns for its third year from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th October 2026, bringing three days of independent cinema, emerging filmmakers and industry events to Bradford Arts Centre.

Taking place in the world’s first UNESCO City of Film, BRADIFF 2026 will showcase 58 short films from filmmakers around the world, spanning narrative, documentary, animation and international cinema. Alongside the short film programme, this year’s festival will feature a special 40th anniversary screening of the cult classic Little Shop of Horrors on Friday night.

The festival’s third edition continues BRADIFF’s commitment to celebrating diverse voices in cinema. Each year, the festival highlights a different diversity-focused strand, and in 2026 the spotlight falls on female and non-binary filmmakers. The strand forms part of the wider BRADIFF programme, which welcomes and celebrates films made by filmmakers of all backgrounds.

Something for everyone

Whether you’re a dedicated film fan, discovering independent cinema for the first time, bringing the family along, or interested in meeting and connecting with filmmakers, BRADIFF has something to offer.

The programme covers a wide range of genres, styles and stories, with short films offering audiences the chance to discover new voices and experience films they might not encounter elsewhere. The festival is designed to be welcoming and accessible to everyone, from regular cinema-goers to those simply looking for something different to do in Bradford.

Families can also enjoy a special Saturday morning children’s screening, presented in partnership with Leeds Young Film Festival, offering a fun introduction to the big screen for younger audiences and their grown-ups.
