About

Join Better Place Bradford for a bug-themed family day out at Bowling Park, packed with activities, entertainment and nature-inspired fun.

Visitors can enjoy Forest School activities along the Story Trail, live music in the Rose Garden, musical storytelling, crafts and bulb planting, water play, bug hunts, and hands-on workshops. Children can make their own bug hotel, wooden bug or dragonfly, meet real insects, explore biodiversity activities, and spot giant dragonfly puppets around the park.

The first 50 children to visit the Lodge Café will receive a free chocolate brownie, and there will be prizes available for those arriving at the start of the event.

A range of local organisations will be delivering activities throughout the day, including Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Canal & River Trust, Wild Workshops, City of Nature CIC, Fearless People Yorkshire, Happy Healthy You Bradford and more.

Fancy dress is encouraged, so come dressed as your favourite bug and join the celebrations.
