About

Meet walks leaders Chris Flecknoe and Jan Thom, outside Bracken Hall Countryside Centre at 10.00, for a 4.5 mile circular walk around the edge of Eldwick. We aim to return to Bracken Hall Countryside Centre by 13.00. Our route initially takes us northwards along Bracken Hall Green before entering woodland and following a stream on a narrow path to Glovershaw. We then follow lesser-walked paths towards Eldwick. We will cross some stiles which require a reasonable level of agility. After rising towards High Eldwick, we take an old track to descend to Eldwick Recreation Ground, and we shall take our mid-morning break here. Please bring water to drink and any snacks required. We start to circle back towards Baildon by following Sheriff Lane as it gradually descends into Shipley Glen, by the small reservoir, before taking a steadily ascending track back to Bracken Hall.

Please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions on the day of the walk.

We cannot accept dogs other than assistance dogs on our walks.
