About

Join us for a 7 mile guided walk across part of the Nature Reserve, from Ilkley to Shipley Glen. This walk will be led by Baildon Walkers are Welcome walks leaders, Paul Robinson, and Chris Grogan, but is organised by Bradford Culture Company to celebrate the new National Nature Reserve. We will make our way through three of our National Nature Reserve areas: Ilkley Moor, on to Baildon Moor, and down into the glacial valley of Shipley Glen. Meet at the Clarke Foley Community Hub in Ilkley town centre for a 10.30 start. It’s next to the main car park and a few minutes walk from the train station. Our walk ends at Bracken Hall Countryside Centre where you can enjoy some light refreshments, and learn about how this nature reserve plays a key role in the fight against climate change. This is a challenging walk due to the ascent and uneven terrain. We anticipate it will take around 4 hours, including a break. There will be drinks and snacks available at the end of the walk, but please bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink. Please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions on the day of the walk.

For further details and to reserve a place on this walk (free but booking is required), go to: Ilkley to Shipley Glen Guided Walk | Bradford Culture Company. People travelling from Baildon can either turn up at 10.30 or there is a train from Baildon at 9.57 which gets to Ilkley at 10.17.

We cannot accept dogs other than assistance dogs on our walks.
