ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING WITH A PRE-MEETING GUIDED WALK

About

"Baildon Walkers are Welcome" invites you all to our informal ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, preceded by a guided walk for those that wish to stretch their legs.

Pre-meeting walk starts 10.15 from the Potted Meat Stick. AGM meeting at Wesleys starts 12.15. The morning will commence with a 2 hour walk of around 3.5 miles, entitled "The Best of Baildon Moor". Meet walks leaders Chris and Mervyn at 10.15 at the Potted Meat Stick in the centre of Baildon (adjacent to the main car park, the roundabout, and the bus terminus) for a guided walk around our “home turf” as a prelude to our AGM. We will take a gradual route up to the trig point at the top of our Moor before circling back to Baildon via different paths. Lots of lovely views – weather permitting. Likely to be muddy underfoot. On the return to Baildon, we hope you will join us at Wesleys Community Hub, at Baildon Methodist Church at 12.15 for a short Annual General Meeting and some refreshments. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can just join us at 12.15 at Wesleys to hear about our activities over the past year, plans for the future, and to elect the committee. We plan that the meeting will take no more than 1 hour.

Our friendly walks leaders offer a warm welcome to walkers – from Baildon and from further afield. We aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable walking experience on all our guided walks.  Please come suitably dressed for the weather conditions on the day of the walk. Our walks-descriptions let you know the distance and terrain of each route in order to help you choose a walk that you will enjoy.  Our walks leaders are unable to provide first aid assistance or equipment on our walks. We ask that you bring with you any medicines or plasters that you might need.  We recommend that you keep a card with your name and address, an emergency contact (name and telephone number), and brief details of any medical conditions or
allergies (that you would want emergency services to know about), in the top of your rucksack.  We cannot accept dogs other than assistance dogs
on our walks.
