A picture of Yorkshire Imperial Brass Band

About

Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating Yorkshire’s proud musical heritage, featuring Yorkshire Imperial Brass Band and Colne Valley Male Voice Choir.

Known affectionately as 'The Imps', the Yorkshire Imperial Band returns to St. George’s Hall under the direction of Musical Director Ian McElligott. Established in 1936, the band has achieved many accolades including nine Yorkshire Area titles - eight in this very hall. For their 90th year, Yorkshire Imps invites you to join the celebration of our rich history. We look forward to welcoming you to a night full of music, stories and joy.

Recently celebrating its centenary, Colne Valley Male Voice Choir is one of the country’s premier ensembles of male voices - bringing together singers of all ages, from all walks of life. The Choir was founded in Slaithwaite in 1922, becoming a fixture of the village and quickly establishing its position as part of Yorkshire’s musical landscape. Under the leadership of Musical Director, Thom Meredith, the Choir has enjoyed incredible success, and a new Accompanist and Deputy Musical Director, Christopher Pulleyn, brings fresh talent and energy to rehearsals and concerts.
