IAN STONE
Ranked amongst the top ten stand-ups in Britain by The Independent, Ian Stone is one of the most talented topical acts and comperes in the country. Edgy and provocative, with an easy-going manner and self-depreciating style, Ian is at great ease bantering with an audience. He's a member of the Comedy Store's critically acclaimed 'Cutting Edge' team. Ian also received a nomination in 2012 for the BEST SHOW at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.
He has performed all over the world including Comedy Festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Africa, Holland, France, Ireland and Germany. He’s entertained the troops in Kuwait, Bosnia,Kosovo, Cyprus and Afghanistan. He was the first British stand-up to perform in Moscow and the first performer to appear for The Comedy Store in Mumbai.
‘Seriously funny’ - The Guardian
MARKUS BIRDMAN
Markus Birdman is one of British comedy’s most experienced and well-travelled performers. In demand all over the UK and abroad, Markus is a veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe with 11 solo shows to his credit and headliner status at all the top clubs, including The Comedy Store, The Komedia, Hot Water, The Stand and Soho Theatre.
He’s performed at the Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth Comedy Festivals and was nominated by the New Zealand Comedy Guild for Best International Guest. His international gig list includes Pakistan, Singapore, China, UAE, Austria, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Finland and India to name a few. Which has been nice, considering no-one’s now going anywhere.
He had his own Netflix Stand Up Special, ‘Live in Amsterdam’ & was also co-writer on Jayde Adams’s Amazon Prime Stand Up Special, ‘Serious Black Jumper’.
‘Delightfully comic. Controversial, personal and wickedly punchy.’ - The List
‘Engagingly mixes the silly and the downright wrong.’ - Chortle
‘A consummate comic…. energetic, engaging, thought-provoking and funny.’ - The Stage
‘Birdman’s Fringe show is a triumph. He isn’t afraid to push the limits of what society deems appropriate.’ - The Edinburgh Reporter
STEPHANIE LAING
Goofy and peculiar, Stephanie Laing’s comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.
Stephanie started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit. She had shows at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014 and 2015, and has performed at The Stand, The Comedy Store, The Comedy Cafe, Crack Comedy, Downstairs at The King’s Head, Mirth Control, Hilarity Bites, Eminent Banter and XS Malarkey, among others. She was a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2015. She is now based in Manchester.
‘Truly commanded the crowd. Disgusting and delightful in equal measure. She is definitely one to watch.’ - Three Weeks
‘Stephanie Laing offered up a gloriously silly set, coming across as wonderfully unpretentious and getting the audience on her side from the first line. Her off-the-wall observations about her own anxieties were delivered with awkward tenacity and came off as entirely believable mementoes of her everyday life.’ - Broadway Baby
