An open day exploring the rich history of suffragette activity at St George’s Hall - and another chance to view the newly refurbished hall.
A celebration of the history of women’s rights protest at St George’s Hall – the demonstrations led by Emmeline and Adela Pankhurst; the suffragettes who interrupted the speeches of Prime Minister Asquith and Winston Churchill; the stories of Bradford suffragettes active in protest plus other pioneering local lasses who changed the world.
The timed talk is planned for 1.30p.m. and visitors are welcome to view the site and take part in activities throughout the day.

11am Suffragette tour around the site led by Helen Broadhead (approx 1.5hrs) - booking required
1.30pm Talk on Pioneering Bradford Lasses on the stage (approx 1hr) - booking required

We have partnered with NCP to offer an exclusive car parking discount to people attending our venues. You can park at the NCP Hall Ings (BD1 5SD) or NCP Southgate (BD1 2AP). Vouchers are available from the Box Office when you buy or collect your tickets, or can be requested before the show from bars and kiosk (subject to availability).

There are a number of other car parks in the city centre within close walking distance of our venues. These include Crown Court; Jacob’s Well (Saturday only); Kirkgate Shopping Centre (daytime only); Leisure Exchange; Oastler Centre (daytime only); Sharpe Street (behind the National Media Museum) and the Broadway Shopping Centre.
