Walk Saltaire Circular with Bradford CHA Rambling Club
Saltaire & Heaton Woods 9 miles

Saltaire World Heritage 20th Anniversary: Bradford Walking walk led by Malcolm Walters, Jackie Wilkes and Djamel Boudzidi. The walk is 9 miles long and has about 800 feet of ascent.

The meeting point is the Saltaire railway bridge and will depart at 10.15. . The walk will be about 5 hours. The walk is on footpaths and sometimes on pavements. The terrain is easy but boots should be worn. In case of rain there is a need for waterproofs. Bring some drink and a packed lunch.

Walk: We go along the canal and through Hirst Wood, then take a footpath past what used to be Nab Wood School. We then take a footpath parallel to Cottingley Moor Road to reach Sandy Lane. We then enter Chellow Dene and pass the reservoirs. We then make our way into Shay Lane and on to Heaton Woods and Northcliffe Park before making our way back to Saltaire.
