About

The Lodge Cafe, situated in Bowling Park originally opened its doors in 2018, it was designed as a community hub and social enterprise.

We are a small dedicated team with a love of what we do.  The vibrant atmosphere, and stylish decor and ample lighting of the cafe makes it a great environment to work in. We take great pride in delivering exceptional customer service and building strong, lasting relationships with our customers. It is these connections that make our cafe truly special.

The Lodge Cafe is overseen by a community interest company, ASH Yorkshire in partnership with local groups, aiming for both commercial and community benefit. We play a meaningful role in supporting and enriching the local community, by creating events to bring that local people together. It has become a welcoming space where customers feel a sense of belonging. As well as the cafe the venue also includes a community room and cabin which can be hired for functions, events, groups and meetings.

We believe The Lodge stands out from the crowd, especially due to our sense of community within the cafe. We are proud to have a large base of regular customers and to build genuine relationships with them, often greeting them by name and remembering their favourite orders. We are a dog-friendly cafe, and a favourite spot for park and museum visitors, community volunteers and the park runners every weekend. Our aim is to offer delicious food at an affordable price - The Lodge Breakfast being a customer favourite, alongside our homemade cakes and great coffee. Our customers praise us for being great value for money. We believe our warm and welcoming atmosphere is what encourages customers to return time and time again.

Having recently won Cafe of the Year at the Retail, Leisure & Hospitality Awards, We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated again to win Best Coffee Shop! We couldn't do it without our amazing team who make the cafe the success it is today. We would also like to say a big thank you to our loyal customers for voting and their continued support - It means everything to us
