Zine Library

About

Bradford artist Lauren Kelly will be hosting a one-day-only pop-up zine library!

The library will feature a collection of creative, self-published zines donated by local artists, as well as Lauren’s own first zine. The library will be available for you to browse, read, and get inspired.

Whether you're looking to start a conversation or just unwind and relax with a zine, there's something for everyone.

Plus, join in a free zine workshop, bring your ideas to life and create something unique to take home.

About the Artist
Lauren Kelly is a Bradford-born multidisciplinary artist working across collage, photography, digital art and painting. Her work explores nostalgia, youth culture, and the aesthetics of hedonism, often through a pink-hued, dreamy lens. Her practice blends personal archives and digital layers to question memory, beauty, and the cultural power of aesthetics.

Lauren has been awarded a bursary from OUR TURN to develop a new series of tactile, visually rich zines, an extension of her collage-based practice. Inspired by DIY culture, zines offer Lauren a space to blend digital layering, photography, and nostalgic iconography into intimate, collectible formats. With the support of the grant, she’ll experiment with different printing and binding techniques, collaborate with local artists and zine-makers, and explore both handmade and professional production. The project will allow her to expand her storytelling, celebrate underrepresented visual culture, and connect more directly with audiences, all while exploring zines as a long-term artistic form.

Part of OUR TURN Visual Arts Festival.
