Yorkshire Gypsy Swing Collective playing instruments.

About

The Yardfest series, curated by Yardfest Saltaire in collaboration with Mama Hoodoo's Music, Bradford Markets, and The Underground Bradford, continues with a night of high-energy gypsy jazz. Yorkshire Gypsy Swing Collective, a Yorkshire-based supergroup, draws inspiration from Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli’s legendary ‘Quintette du Hot Club de France’, blending tradition with modern flair.

Featuring Lewis Kilvington and Martin Chung on guitar, James Munroe on double bass, Derek Magee on violin, and Christine Pinkard on clarinet, the group delivers fast licks, burning ballads, and Latin-infused rhythms. Food and drinks available from Darley Street Kitchen throughout the evening.
