About
BLT Studio celebrates Bradford’s City of Culture 2025 status with ‘Wool City’. The first part, “Progress – Industry – Humanity” inspired by Bradford’s coat of arms motto, is devised by Julie Boldy and Adam Drinkall. Through drama, dance, and song, it explores the city’s history from 1836 to today, focusing on textile mills and Titus Salt’s impact on workers’ lives in Saltaire.
The programme ends with J.B Priestley’s rarely performed one-act play, “A Glass of Bitter.” Celebrate Bradford through its history and the work of one of its most famous sons. Join BLT Studio this November for a reet treat!
Wool City’ is an amateur production and “A Glass of Bitter” is presented by the kind permission of Concord Theatricals.
