On 18th May 1895, Sam Wilson opened Shipley Glen Tramway, and now, 130 years later, we celebrate its incredible history and legacy.

Enjoy a day of heritage and entertainment, featuring:

  • Walk an alpaca

  • Admire a display of classic Jowett Cars

  • Watch a traditional Punch and Judy show

  • Listen to The Altogether Now local community choir

  • Be entertained by The Baildon Strummers

  • Savour delicious ice cream—including treats for dogs

  • Refreshments available throughout the event

​​​​​​​Special Anniversary Offers: Travel for free on the Tramway with an old penny (in old money). Wear period costume or steampunk attire and ride the Tramway for free.
General Fare: Adult return: £2.50 (day rover) single: £1.50 | Junior (5 to 15yrs) return: £1.00 (day rover) single 50p | Please note that payment is by card.
