Local artist & designer, Wendy invites you to a 3D Needle Felted Character workshop where you will enjoy a fun and relaxing few hours learning how to design and construct your own unique felted character.

With the skills you learn in class, you will also be able to tackle the many wonderful needle felting kits on the market.

She will take you step-by-step through the mindful craft of needle felting, starting by understanding how the wool fibres behave and all about the unique barbed needles. Inspired by Wendy, you will create your own mythical beast and make its internal support structure, then explore the different creative ways to achieve your final character.

Having taught Art and Design for many years both here in Yorkshire and in Beijing, Wendy provides a calm, creative and supportive atmosphere within her workshops. You will finish the day relaxed and feeling proud of what you have achieved and enthusiastic about applying your new-found skills to a range of free-form and pre-designed projects.

The workshop includes all felting fibres, wire, and equipment. Just bring along some inspirational imagery.

No previous experience required. Suitable for absolute beginners and those looking to improve and extend their textile and artistic skills.

Classes are individually priced & include the tools to use in class and all materials, unless otherwise indicated.

Light refreshments are available throughout the day, with a break for lunch to explore the lovely cafés of Ilkley and eat out or bring something back to the workshop.
