About
The Ilkley Half Marathon is organised by Ilkley Round Table to raise funds for local good causes. Since our inaugural event in 2019 and with a year off in 2020 due to COIVD we have raised between £20,000 and £35,000 each year from the event which we redirect to several local organisations across Wharfedale. The Ilkley Half Marathon is a beloved annual event that brings runners from all over the country to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time runner, this challenging and scenic course has something to offer for everyone.
Our event is for every level of runner. Make it your first ever half marathon or challenge yourself in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside in a fully road closed event.
But beyond just being a great race, the Ilkley Half Marathon is also a way to give back to the local community. All proceeds from the event go towards supporting good causes in the Ilkley area, making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
The Ilkley Round Table is a group of local volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in their community. We are proud to be a part of such a great event, and we hope that you will join us in supporting this important cause.
Please consider a donation to our 2024 charity of choice, LS29 Special Needs Support Group, when you complete your entry form. LS29 is a fantastic group, established to help families of children with additional needs. These families benefit from the support network that LS29 provides. LS29 now has over 140 members, and organise a wide range of outings and activities throughout the year. Their aim is to provide opportunities for the whole family to take part in activities they may not otherwise have the opportunity to take part in, try new challenges, meet friends and develop a support network and of course, have fun. Ilkley Round Table has supported LS29 for a number of years and we hope you will too!
