About

He’s back! Need we say more? Oh, go on then… Festival favourite Gyles Brandreth returns to Ilkley with his new book, Somewhere, A Boy and A Bear.

2026 will mark the centenary of the publication of the bestselling, beloved children’s classic, Winnie the-Pooh. Brandreth, who knew the real Christopher Robin, tells the story of A. A. Milne (to whom there was so much more than Pooh), exploring fascinating family dynamics and the nature of childhood itself.
