About

Step into an evening of grace, power, and pure artistic synergy as Nina Rajarani MBE, acclaimed Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer, brings her latest production EkatA to the stage.

Derived from the Sanskrit word for “oneness,” EkatA is more than a dance performance – it is a celebration of harmony between movement, music, emotion, and identity. In this spellbinding solo recital, Nina draws from her decades of mastery in the classical Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam, using it as a language to explore themes that are both ancient and strikingly relevant today.

But what truly elevates EkatA is the intimate collaboration at its core. Nina is accompanied live on stage by her husband, Yadav Yadavan, a distinguished Karnatik vocalist. Their creative partnership spans over two decades, and their mutual understanding is deeply felt in every note and movement. Yadavan’s original compositions, crafted specifically for Nina, bring a unique musical identity to the performance – one that is soulful, layered, and emotionally resonant. The live orchestra of accomplished classical Indian musicians adds richness and energy to every moment, enveloping the audience in a tapestry of sound.

EkatA is a dialogue between two artists, two souls, and centuries of tradition, unfolding before your eyes in rhythmic precision and expressive storytelling.

EkatA is an invitation to witness the magic that happens when classical forms meets personal connection, when heritage and creativity fuse into something timeless.
